FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 9, 2013) –Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Board of Housing, Buildings and Construction to serve for terms expiring July 31, 2017:
♦ David Dean, of Winchester, is president and general contractor at Dean Builds. He represents the Associated General Contractors of Kentucky. The appointment replaces David B. Jackson, whose term has expired.
♦ William M. “Mac” Crawford Jr., of Nicholasville, is a home builder and remodeler at Crawford Builders Inc. He represents the Home Builders Association of Kentucky. The appointment replaces Bill Jagoe, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for terms expiring July 31, 2017:
♦ Gregory G. Carter, of Lexington, is a professional engineer at Staggs and Fisher Consulting Engineers Inc. He represents electrical engineers.
♦ Greg Wilson, of Simpsonville, is an operations manager at Marvin Maeser Plumbing. He represents the Kentucky Association of Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the School Curriculum, Assessment and Accountability Council to serve for terms expiring April 30, 2014:
♦ Thomas Anthony Aberli, of Louisville, is the principal at Atherton High School. He represents principals. The appointment replaces Jon R. Akers, whose term has expired.
♦ Jinger D. Carter, of Sturgis, is director of accountability and assessment for Henderson County Schools. She represents assessment coordinators. The appointment replaces Franklin B. Thomas, who has resigned.
♦ William A. Owens, of Beattyville, is a minister and mission director at Kentucky Mountain Mission Inc., and is chairman of the Lee County Board of Education. He represents school board members. The appointment replaces Phyllis E. Young, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Tourism Development Finance Authority:
♦ Eric W. Summe, of Covington, is president and CEO at the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau. The appointment replaces Tom Caradonio, who has resigned. Summe shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 31, 2014.
♦ Jenny L. Gibson, of Madisonville, is the owner of Madisonville Bed and Breakfast. The appointment replaces Robert H. Stewart, who has resigned. Gibson shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 31, 2016.
Gov. Beshear has designated Keith J. Williams as chair of the authority.
♦ Keith J. Williams, of Bowling Green, is a purchasing agent at Bowling Green Municipal Utilities.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members of the Kentucky Board of Ophthalmic Dispensers to serve for terms expiring Jan. 10, 2017.
♦ James A. Luckett, of Louisville, is an optometrist employed by Dr. Mark Lynn & Associates PLLC. He represents optometrists. The appointment replaces Kevin D. Stallard, whose term has expired.
♦ Dorothy L. Newberry, of Frankfort, is retired. She represents consumers. The appointment replaces Charlotte M. Whittaker, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Gregory D. Armstrong to the Kentucky Military Family Assistance Trust Fund Board to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Oct. 5, 2014.
♦ Command Sgt. Maj. Gregory D. Armstrong, of Greenville, is state command sergeant major for the Kentucky Army National Guard. The appointment replaces Timothy S. Merriott, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Sarah Jane Cracraft as city commissioner for the City of Mount Olivet to serve in accordance with the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.
♦ Sarah Jane Cracraft, of Mount Olivet, is a nurse at Robertson County Health Care Facility.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Board of Nursing:
♦ John P. Nordgauer, of Louisville, is a licensed practical nurse at Kindred Hospital. He represents licensed practical nurses. The appointment replaces Elizabeth A. Fultz, whose term has expired. Nordgauer shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2016.
♦ Mary Bennett, of Bowling Green, is a peer coordinator at the Center for Accessible Living. She represents the Kentucky Nurses’ Association. The appointment replaces Carol Komara, whose term has expired. Bennett shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2017.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for terms expiring June 30, 2017:
♦ Anita F. Simmons, of Hopkinsville, is a retired public health director. She represents citizens at large.
♦ Anne H. Veno, of Crestwood, is a health care executive and registered nurse at the Episcopal Church Home. She represents Leading Age Kentucky.
♦ Sally M. Baxter, of Maysville, is a registered nurse at PMD Corp. She represents the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities.
Gov. Beshear has appointed William G. Finn to the Prevailing Wage Review Board to serve for a term expiring Aug. 31, 2014.
♦ William G. Finn, of Louisville, is executive director of the State Buildings and Construction Council. He represents labor organizations. The appointment replaces Larry L. Roberts, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Shannon L. Ramsey to the Martin Luther King Jr. Commission to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Dec. 12, 2013.
♦ Shannon L. Ramsey, of Nicholasville, is an executive assistant at the Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service. The appointment replaces Eileen M. Cackowski, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Foundation for the Arts Board of Trustees to serve for terms expiring Oct. 14, 2016:
♦ Todd P. Lowe, of Simpsonville, is president at Parthenon LLC.
♦ Wilma Brown, of Danville, is a retired teacher.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Applied Behavior Analyst Licensing Board to serve for terms expiring Oct. 1, 2016:
♦ Cynthia R. Blackledge, of Morehead, is a behavior analyst at HomePlace Support Services. She represents behavior analysts.
♦ Mary M. “Shelli” Deskins, of Paintsville, is a psychologist and program director at Highlands Center for Autism. She represents behavior analysts.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Paul Cecil Green II to the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission to serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2017.
♦ Paul Cecil Green II, of Louisville, is the owner and manager of Thomas Products Co. – Kentucky. He represents employers.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Breast Cancer Research and Education Trust Fund Board to serve for terms expiring Oct. 24, 2017:
♦ Monika W. Clark, of Frankfort, is retired.
♦ Sonia H. Woodall, of Lexington, is a retired real estate broker.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Financial Institutions Board to serve for terms expiring Oct. 10, 2017:
♦ Phillip B. Gross, of Lexington, is an attorney at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs. He represents citizens at large.
♦ William L. Tatum Jr., of Lebanon, is a retired farmer. He represents citizens at large.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Forestry Best Management Practices Board:
♦ Lyndle Barnes Jr., of Princeton, is a farmer and a retired banker. He represents farmers at large. The appointment replaces Bige Hensley, whose term has expired. Barnes shall serve for a term expiring April 22, 2017.
♦ Charles Courtney II, of Greenville, a logger with Courtney Timber Harvesting. He represents the Kentucky Wood Industry. The appointment replaces Grant A. Curry, who has resigned. Courtney shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 22, 2015.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for terms expiring April 22, 2017:
♦ Kenneth R. Negray, of Princeton, is a forester at NewPage. He represents the Kentucky Wood Industry.
♦ J. Henry Duncan, of Versailles, is a farmer. He represents farmers at large.
Gov. Beshear has designated David W. Morris as the Governor’s alternate with power to act in his place and stead on the State Committee for School District Audits.
♦ David W. Morris, of Lexington, is director of administrative services for the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Mary Louise Allen to the Board of Directors of the Purchase of Agricultural Conservation Easement Corp. to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 12, 2017.
♦ Mary Louise Allen, of Louisville, is a planning consultant at URS Corp. She represents the 3rd Congressional District. The appointment replaces Teena Halbig, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Elaine M. Musselman to the Louisville and Jefferson County Air Board to serve for a term expiring July 15, 2017.
♦ Elaine M. Musselman, of Prospect, is an insurance broker at Risk Management Services Corp.
Gov. Beshear has appointed James K. “Kent” Pleasants to the Charitable Gaming Advisory Commission to serve for a term expiring July 10, 2017.
♦ James K. “Kent” Pleasants, of Lexington, is a CPA at Blue and Co. LLC. He represents certified public accountants. The appointment replaces Sharon Simpson, whose term has expired.
