Leadership Paducah applications are now available for 26th year

PADUCAH, Ky. (March 1, 2012) — The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that application forms are now available for the 2012-13 Leadership Paducah class.  This class marks the 26th year of Leadership Paducah classes.

Leadership Paducah is designed to foster an in-depth understanding of Paducah-McCracken County’s many and complex interrelationships.  In their monthly day-long sessions, participants will learn about the community’s government, industry, tourism, health and education sectors, to name just a few.  Through this program, they become aware of social and economic changes, and the impact of such changes in the community.

“Employers should consider the Leadership Paducah program for their employees at varying levels in their organizations.  Providing this opportunity to your employee is an investment in your company.  In times like these, we all need to use our money wisely, and Leadership Paducah is an avenue in which a company will gain a significant return on investment,” says Leadership Paducah Foundation President, Joni Goodman.  “Your company will gain better relationships with local businesses and organizations, form new personal and professional contacts, develop better insight into our community’s opportunities and needs, and gain an employee with improved communication skills and leadership potential.  No matter the size of your company, you can build a more knowledgeable and well-rounded employee base through this tangible community experience,” stated Goodman.

Since its inception in 1984, over 650 participants have graduated from the program.  Selection of class participants is conducted by the Leadership Paducah Foundation Board of Directors.  Visit the Chamber’s website at www.paducahchamber.org or www.leadershippaducah.org or contact Stacy Thomas at the Paducah Chamber for an application form (270) 443-1746 or [email protected].  Deadline for application submission is Friday, May 11, 2012.
