Gateway hosts supply chain industry career fair

COVINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 1, 2013) — Cincinnati’s Council of Supply Chain Professionals will host a Supply Chain Industry Career Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Gateway Community and Technical College Urban Center in Covington.

More than 20 employers, including LeanCor, Cintas, TQL, P&G, Hightowers Petroleum, and others, will attend.

The free event at Gateway, sponsored by Cintas, is open to high school and college students, guidance counselors, supply chain professionals, and the general public. The goal is to increase awareness of careers in supply chain management. Career disciplines include purchasing, warehouse management, logistics, operations, transportation, import/export, and inventory and materials management.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and meet one-on-one with numerous potential employers and higher education representatives. In addition, the Veterans Administration will be on hand to provide free flu shots to veterans and students.

The career fair is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Gateway Urban Center, 525 Scott Blvd. At 11 a.m. there will be a one-hour panel discussion with supply chain experts at the adjacent Kenton County Public Library.
