LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 5, 2012) —  The Mayor’s Healthy Hometown Movement and Sullivan University’s National Center for Hospitality Studies are partnering to provide a free half-day workshop to show local restaurant owners and chefs that a few small changes can help them create the healthier menu options customers are demanding.

The workshop will demonstrate how to make delicious menu items using healthier fat selections and lower sodium options as well as how to prepare menu items lower in calories.

Funds for the workshop are provided from the $7.9 federal Communities Putting Prevention to Work grant to further the work of the Mayor’s Healthy Hometown Movement.
