LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 23, 2014) – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will officially open an application site for its TSA Pre✓ application program in Louisville on Jan. 24.
TSA Pre✓ allows select frequent flyers of participating airlines and members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs who are flying on participating airlines, to use dedicated lanes for screening benefits, which include leaving on shoes, light outerwear and belts, as well as leaving laptops and 3-1-1 compliant liquids in carry-on bags.
The new Louisville application center, which will be located in St. Matthews, is the first office accepting enrollees in Kentucky.
Through the TSA Pre✓ program, U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents are able to go through a pre-enrollment process online at TSA.gov, make an appointment and complete their enrollment at the application center to verify their identity, present documentation to confirm their citizenship/immigration status and provide fingerprints.
