Kentucky House cancels meetings, will resume session Tuesday

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 3, 2014) – The Kentucky General Assembly will not meet today because of the weather and hazardous road conditions, House leaders, after discussions with Senate Leadership, announced this morning. The House will re-convene at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

“We have heard numerous reports from the Kentucky State Police and our own members that the roads are very dangerous, and since many of our members travel several hours to get to Frankfort, we decided that it would be better to wait until tomorrow,” House Speaker Greg Stumbo said.
