“I have spent the last three years primarily focused on helping lead our Bank through the challenges it faced when I arrived in 2011,” Rumpke said. “In order to accomplish our goals, it required me to place the needs of our bank as my top priority. We ended 2013 by not only being released from our regulatory Consent Order but also posted a profit for the first time since 2009. Knowing that the bank is on solid footing and moving down the road to sustainable profitability, it seemed an appropriate time for me to reprioritize and put the needs of my family first. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served as leader of this fine organization and thank the shareholders, employees, directors and members of our community for their support of our efforts.”

Rumpke was hired at Town & Country in June 2011.  She was previously the commissioner of finance for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and market president of JPMorgan Chase in Lexington.  Her son Marc, 13, is a student at St. Joseph Elementary School in Bardstown, and son Michael, 28, lives in Lexington. Her husband Rob is the president and CEO of Bluegrass Tomorrow, based in Lexington.

A 31-year employee, Wimsett joined Town & Country Bank as a loan officer in the New Haven branch in 1983. He transferred to the main office in 1985 and has held various leadership positions in the organization during his career, most recently serving as executive vice president and chief retail and business development officer. He was elected to the board of directors for both Town & Country Bank and Trust Co. and First Farmers Bank Holding Co. in 2009, and will continue to serve as a director in his new role.

Wimset is very active in the community, having served on the Nazareth Village Board, Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce, BIDC, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, American Heart Association and St Joseph Athletic Board.

Wimsetand his wife Annette have four children, Kymberly, Stephanie, Raffo III and Dennis, a son-in-law Joseph Sims and two grandchildren, Addison Taylor and Joseph Peyton. Wimset enjoys golf and spending time with his family.

“Town & Country Bank and Trust Co. is very fortunate to have such an experienced and dedicated group of employees,” Wimsett said. “I look forward to working with all of my colleagues to continue to meet the needs of our clients throughout the communities we serve.”
