The Office of Community Planning and Development, which is part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, promotes approaches that provide decent housing, a suitable living environment and expand economic opportunities for people with low- and moderate-incomes primarily through developing partnerships at all levels of government, the private sector and non-profit organizations.
