LEXINGTON, Ky. – March 23, 2012 – Columbia Gas of Kentucky today announced that it has expanded its network of authorized payment locations to include most Wal-Marts, as well as more local grocers, pharmacies, and other retail and service stores.

In addition to several convenient ways to pay online or by phone, some customers prefer to pay in person while they’re running errands or to make a last-minute payment to avoid service disconnection. And there’s no charge to customers who take advantage of the payment method.
Columbia Gas of Kentucky advises customers that it’s important to use only payment agents that the company has authorized to accept payments on its behalf. Although many businesses accept payments as a convenience to their customers, the company cannot guarantee that payments made at an unauthorized location will be processed on time, especially if disconnection is pending.
Columbia Gas also reminds customers to take their bill with them when they make a payment, and to promptly report their payment receipt number to the company either online at columbiagasky.com or by phone at (800) 432-9345. Customers may also choose to pay their bill online by electronic check at no charge at the company’s Web site, or to pay using their credit or debit card online or by phone.
