I-75 in Rockcastle County reduced to one lane beginning Sunday

Pavement improvements should be complete by Nov. 30

SOMERSET, Ky. (July 25, 2014) – Beginning Sunday July 27, I-75 in Rockcastle County will be reduced to one lane between mile point 58 and ending at mile point 66 as crews begin pavement improvements.

I-75-Sign1Northbound and southbound I-75 lanes will be reduced to one lane between the hours of 6 p.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 6 p.m. on Thursdays to 7 a.m. Fridays. Around Aug. 25, both north and southbound lane reductions will increase to a 24-hour period daily Monday through Thursday for about six weeks. No lane closures will occur between 7 a.m. Fridays through 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Work is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 30. The duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. I-75 drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra time in reaching their destinations.
