Comic expo Fandom Fest begins Friday in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 29, 2014) Fandom Fest comic expo returns to the Kentucky International Convention Center, bringing a combination of artists, creators, celebrities and fans back to Louisville. Held Friday through Sunday, Fandom Fest is a comprehensive expo that covers comics, fantasy, sci-fi, steampunk, horror, anime, literary, technology, film, gaming, and more.

The weekend convention hosts Q and A’s with celebrities, a parade in downtown Louisville, gaming, a film festival, seminars, keynotes, and other activities. More than 30 celebrities including Eliza Dushku of Buffy, Levar Burton of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Anthony Mackie of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Morena Baccarin of Homeland are expected to attend the 2014 event.

The exhibit halls are open Friday, 5–10 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $30 for a one-day pass for Friday or Sunday, $40 for a Saturday-only pass and $60 for a weekend pass.
