Partnership with Glicod Communications will broadcast 30 games
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (Aug. 15, 2014) — All Georgetown College football games and some men’s and women’s basketball games will now be available online and on the radio.
Georgetown has partnered with Gilcod Communications, a Louisville marketing company, to air 30 games during the 2014-15 seasons.
All Tiger football games will be broadcast over WCGW 770 AM radio covering central and northern Kentucky and WFIA 94.7 FM radio covering Louisville and much of southern Indiana. The new radio deal also includes some basketball games, but an exact schedule has not as yet been determined.
The football season opener is Saturday, Sept. 13, against Bethel University. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m. at Toyota Stadium.
The partnership also brings the Georgetown coaches’ show back to radio with a live broadcast every Monday at 8 p.m. from Buffalo Wild Wings in Georgetown, beginning Sept. 8. The 30-minute coaches’ show will be heard live and streamed online only on Lexington’s WJMM 99.1 FM, a sister station to WCGW.
A link on the Georgetown College athletics Web site will direct listeners to streaming audio for the game broadcasts and for the coaches’ show.
