FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 21, 2014) — The Kentucky Oil and Gas Association (KOGA) announced today that Andrew V. McNeill, KOGA’s Executive Director, has been appointed to the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance (DEPA) Board of Directors. DEPA is a nationwide collaboration of 14 coalition associations — from California to West Virginia, Texas to Montana — representing about 10,000 individuals and companies engaged in domestic onshore oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P).

“The Domestic Energy Producers Alliance and their advocacy is vital in representing our nation’s oil and gas industry,” McNeill stated. “Kentucky’s oil and gas producers will benefit greatly from our seat at the table and I look forward to working with DEPA to promote and protect Kentucky’s industry and support DEPA’s efforts at the federal and Congressional level.”

Kentucky’s oil and gas industry contributes over $1.1 billion to the state’s economy. More than 3,600 Kentuckians are employed in direct and downstream industry sectors. The average wage for oil and gas jobs in Kentucky is over $55,000.
