Forbes ranks Centre 81st best college in country

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2014) — Forbes has released its list of America’s Top Colleges, ranking schools on information such as student satisfaction, graduation rates, career success, student debt, teacher to student ratio and ACT and SAT scores.

Centre-IMG_7621Of the 650 schools ranked, Centre College was listed as the top college in Kentucky at No. 81 overall, No. 11 in the South and No. 68 among private colleges.

Centre was praised for having 85 percent of students study abroad, 81 percent of students participate in an internship or research experience and 86 percent of students graduate within four years.

Transylvania University was listed at No. 184, Asbury University at No. 295, the University of Kentucky at No. 336, Berea College at No. 356, Georgetown College at No. 386 and Bellarmine University at No. 392.
