Centre College nation’s 45th best liberal arts school
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 9, 2014) — Asbury University was ranked the best southern college in the nation—along with High Point University and John Brown University—in the 2015 Best Colleges rankings by U.S. World & News Report.
Rankings were separated into four categories — National Universities, National Liberal Arts Colleges, Regional Universities and Regional Colleges, with regional rankings split by South, West, Midwest and North.
The rankings were calculated by applying 22.5 percent of a grade to both retention and undergraduate academic reputation, 20 percent to faculty resources, 12.5 percent to student selectivity, 10 percent to financial resources, 7.5 percent to graduation rate performance and 5 percent to alumni giving rate.
