LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 11, 2014) — Local artists will carve more than 5,000 pumpkins to light a trail the length of five football fields at the base of Iroquois Park during the Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular from Oct. 9 through Nov. 2 in Louisville.
The trail is open from dusk to 11 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and until midnight on Friday and Saturdays. Tickets range from $9 to $15, with discounts for seniors and children 12 and under. Proceeds from the event benefit the Louisville Metro Parks Foundation.
“We received such positive feedback from this event last year,” said Mike Heitz, director of Louisville Metro Parks & Recreation. “There was no question if we should bring it back to Iroquois Park this year.”
The event will be held rain or shine. Coach drop-off and on-site parking is available.
Individual tickets may be purchased in advance for specific nights at the Iroquois Amphitheater Box Office or online. Tickets for groups of 25 or more can be purchased in advance by calling 502-363-7766, or in person at the Iroquois Amphitheater Box Office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. leading up to the event. No refunds will be given, but advanced purchased tickets can be exchanged for another day.
