Westlake Vinyls preliminarily approved for $20 million in tax incentives

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 25, 2014) — Westlake Vinyls, a petro chemical company in Calvert City that employs 385, was preliminarily approved for $20 in tax incentives on Thursday by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority.

Westlake needs to retain 355 full-time jobs to receive the incentives.

The total investment—including training, equipment and related costs—is $300,758,974 in actual costs expended.
