Event is March 7, 2015
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 16, 2014) — The Louisville Regional Science & Engineering Fair (LRSEF) has a new home. Next year’s event will be held on March 7 at the Kentucky Science Center. Students need to register for the event by Feb. 21, 2015.
The Kentucky Science Center signed a three-year partnership to host the event, which showcases independent research projects presented by students in grades 6-12.
“After celebrating 50 years of hosting the regional STEM competition, our nonprofit volunteer organization has recently expanded our service area from 13 to 57 counties across the commonwealth,” said Theresa Mattei, LRSEF president. “Our annual competition will now be open to all students in grades 6-12 in public, private or home schools living in the Louisville Metro region, and stretching from Bowling Green to Paducah and Owensboro.”
Volunteer judges also choose projects to compete in the Kentucky Science & Engineering Fair on March 27-28, 2015 at Eastern Kentucky University, and in the Intel International Science Fair in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, May 10-15, 2015 and the Broadcom M.A.S.T.E.R.S. program.
