Websites offer information about General Election

Includes where to vote and how to get there

vote-buttonFRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct. 23, 2014) — Kentuckians looking to find out where to vote, what races in which they are eligible to vote in and other pertinent information, can find what they are looking for on the Secretary of State’s website and the State Board of Elections’ website.

The Voter Information Center (VIC) contains registration information, polling place locations and driving directions from voters’ registered addresses to polling places.

Candidate profiles include information provided by candidates. In some cases this includes email addresses and links to candidate websites. Sample ballots also are available. The site is accessible from many mobile devices.

For the first time qualified military and overseas voters can use Kentucky’s new online portal to request and receive their absentee ballots. The portal also enables those voters to register to vote and update their voter registration for future elections online. The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 4 General Election was Oct. 6.
