Service to begin February 12

HEBRON, Ky. (Nov. 12, 2014) – Allegiant Travel Company announced new service from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to Jacksonville, FL (JAX). Passengers can book travel for as low as $65 one-way.

FLBB_AllegiantAirlines“As one of Allegiant’s fastest growing markets in their 15 year history, we are thrilled Allegiant is continuing to expand at CVG,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. “Our passengers desire vacation-centered destinations. Jacksonville will be the eighth market served by Allegiant at CVG.”

“Allegiant couldn’t be more excited to offer Cincinnati residents yet another destination for CVG travelers,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning. “Florida’s ‘First Coast’ has long been a popular destination among local travelers, and we are pleased to offer our low fares and convenient non-stop travel to yet another prime leisure destination.”

Starting February 12, passengers can travel to Jacksonville year-round twice per week on Thursday and Sunday. Allegiant will operate the 177-seat A320 and the 166-seat MD 80. Tickets and vacation packages can be booked through Allegiant.com.

“Allegiant started service from CVG in February 2014, with service two times per week to Orlando and Tampa Bay,” said Wm.T. (Bill) Robinson III, Kenton County Airport board chairman. “With today’s expansion to Jacksonville, Allegiant will offer over 20 flights per week to eight different destinations. This growth would not be possible without the tremendous support of the Tri-State region.”
