Company lost its liquor license

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 4, 2014) — Buster’s Billiards & Backroom, a popular bar and concert venue in Lexington has closed because of financial hardships that cost the establishment its liquor license, Business Lexington is reporting.

Buster’s, which originally opened on Main Street in the mid-1990s, was relocated to Manchester Street in 2009.

The 11,000-s.f. building has played hosts to musicians such as Dropkick Murphys, Here Come the Mummies, Leon Russell, Blues Traveler, Gwar, Drive-By Truckers, Halestorm and Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts.

The company’s website still lists upcoming shows, with Fifth on the Floor scheduled for Saturday.
