Allegiant announces expanded service to Orlando/Sanford and Punta Gorda

Capacity doubles in May

CINCINNATI (Dec. 18, 2014) — Allegiant Travel Co. announces expanded service from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to Orlando/Sanford, Fla. (SFB) and Punta Gorda, Fla. (PGD). Allegiant will offer nine weekly flights to Orlando/Sanford and eight weekly flights to Punta Gorda.

FLBB_AllegiantAirlines“As one of Allegiant’s fastest growing markets in their 15 year history, we are thrilled Allegiant is doubling their capacity to Orlando and Southwest Florida from CVG,” said Wm.T. (Bill) Robinson III, Kenton County Airport Board chairman. “Allegiant started service from CVG in February 2014 with four weekly flights. By year end 2014, Allegiant will offer 27 weekly flights. With this addition starting in May 2015, Allegiant will offer 34 weekly flights to nine destinations.”

“Cincinnati has shown to be a very strong market for Allegiant,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant senior vice president of planning. “We know Orlando and Southwest Florida are very popular with local travelers, and we’re pleased to step in and offer these additional flights.”
