Given to a nursing student at Midway College
MIDWAY, Ky. (Jan. 5, 2015) — At its pinning ceremony in December, Midway College announced that nursing graduate Wendy White of Georgetown was the recipient of its Baptist Health Lexington Leadership Award. The recognition is given at the end of each semester and honors a Midway student that possesses leadership qualities, such as initiative, academic excellence and professional communication.
“Wendy has exemplified leadership ability among her peers and the college at large by serving as an officer and peer mentor with the Midway Association of Nursing Students,” said Dr. Barbara Kitchen, Dean of Midway’s School of Health and Sciences. “She is one who models professional behavior and strives for excellence and has received high praise from the nursing staff with whom she has worked.”
