New license plates promote state programs

Military academy plates will soon be available

trusgtFRANKFORT, Ky. (April 2, 2015) — The state released two new license plate options this week that promote the Kentucky Circuit Court Clerks’ Trust For Life and the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

Trust for Life encourages motorists to be organ donors, while the Fish and Wildlife plate commemorates the world record smallmouth bass caught in Kentucky waters by David L. Hayes in 1955 from Dale Hollow Lake.

On June 1 plates honoring U.S. military academies are expected to be released. Plates will be available for the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point and U.S Air Force Academy.
