Owensboro Community and Technical College narrows presidential search to 3 candidates

Candidates to visit campus May 13-14

VERSAILLES, Ky. (May 7, 2015) — Kentucky Community and Technical College System President Jay Box announced today the names of three candidates to be interviewed for the position of president/CEO of Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC). The new president/CEO of OCTC will begin the appointment July 1.

  • Larry Ferguson, Ph.D., vice chancellor of economic development and workforce solutions/interim vice chancellor of academic affairs, Kentucky Community and Technical College System
  • William Rule , Ph.D., vice president of student affairs and technology advancement, Chattahoochee Technical College (Marietta, Georgia)
  • Scott Williams Ph.D., vice president of academic affairs/chief academic officer, Owensboro Community and Technical College

The candidates are scheduled for on-campus visits and interviews May 13-14. During those visits candidates will meet with OCTC faculty, staff, students, the board of directors and local leaders.
