Grants available for spay/neuter programs

Available to local governments and nonprofit organizations

FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 1, 2015) — Local governments and nonprofits have until July 15 to apply for grants from the Kentucky Animal Control Advisory Board to help Kentuckians spay and neuter their pets.

Spay-neuter plate CMYKApplicants may request up to $2,500. Applicants must submit information about their operation and describe the spay/neuter programs that will utilize the funding.

The Kentucky Animal Control Advisory Board is administered by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. The spay/neuter program is funded by sales of Kentucky’s spay/neuter license plate.
