Three Louisville businesses receive nearly $180,000 in loans

Loans will leverage a total investment of $443,320

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 1, 2015) — Three businesses were approved for loans in the amount of $179,820 by the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corporation. The loans will leverage a total investment of $443,320 to assist three companies to renovate properties and prepare them for productive commercial reuse.

Loans approved:

  • $50,000 façade loan will allow Dustin Hensley and Alexander Parets, owners of 426 W. Oak, LLC, to rehabilitate the windows and cornice, repair doorways and trim, and rehab fencing and signage. A $15,000 accessibility loan will allow for a complete remodel and rehab of the restrooms to make them handicap accessible.
  • $99,820 DOE Energy Efficiency loan was approved for William Wetterer and Greg Clare for installation of 172 solar panels on the roof of their commercial property space located at 2933 Bowman Avenue. The solar panels will reduce energy consumption and have a 25-year warranty.
  • $15,000 loan was approved for ARK, LLC, located at 9413 Westport Road to buyout equipment of an existing Baskin Robbins. This will allow the business to continue to operate on Westport Road.
