Board hopes to hire replacement by the time current commissioner retires Aug. 31
FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 17, 2015) — Applications are now being accepted for Kentucky Commissioner of Education to replace current Commissioner Terry Holliday, who in April announced he would retire on Aug. 31, the Kentucky Department of Education announced this week.
The Kentucky Board of Education hopes to begin interviews Aug. 14-15, with follow up interviews Aug. 28-29.
If a new commissioner has not begun work when Holliday retires the Kentucky Board of Education will appoint an interim commissioner.
