Nonprofit connects area businesses and civic groups through mentoring
CINCINNATI, Ohio (July 1, 2015) — Julie Shifman has been named executive director of Adopt a Class, a Cincinnati-based non-profit organization that connects local businesses and civic groups through group mentoring.
Shifman has held positions of leadership in many of the area’s non-profits, including United Way, Talbert House, Cincinnati Ballet and the YWCA. She also recently chaired Cincinnati’s successful CINCYinNYC initiative for which she received The 2015 Spirit of Cincinnati Award from the Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau.
She is a graduate of the New York University School of Law and practiced law for many years as a partner of the law firm Thompson Hine.
