Lieutenant governor candidates to speak at women’s initiative

Scheduled for Aug. 5 in Fort Mitchell

FORT MITCHELL, Ky. (July 7, 2015) — Lieutenant governor candidates Rep. Sannie Overly and Jenean Hampton will speak about their experiences as women in politics on Aug. 5 at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Women’s Initiative. The event will be held at The Pinnacle from 8-10 a.m.

cahmberOverly is on the ticket with Democratic governor candidate Jack Conway, while Hampton is running with Republican candidate Matt Bevin.

At the breakfast event, “Women in Politics: Perspectives from Candidates for Lieutenant Governor,” the candidates will share stories about how they came to be involved in politics, details about their experiences campaigning for and holding office and insights about the critical issues present in the 2015 Kentucky gubernatorial race.
