Louisville attorney sworn in as chair of KBA’s Young Lawyers Division

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 9, 2015) — Dinsmore attorney Tanner Watkins was sworn in as chair of the Kentucky Bar Association’s (KBA) Young Lawyers Division at the 2015 KBA Annual Convention in Lexington.

Watkins will lead the Young Lawyers Division’s approximately 1,500 members. He will also serve on the Executive Committee of the KBA’s Board of Governors. The Young Lawyers Division is the largest division of the KBA, and is a leader within the KBA in promoting diversity, as well as assisting the commonwealth’s young lawyers through CLEs, networking and social activities. It is also very active in Kentucky’s communities through local outreach programs, such as U@18, BullyProof and Project Street Youth.

Watkins, member of Dinsmore’s Litigation Department, received his undergraduate degree from Centre College in 2004 and received his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law, cum laude, in 2008.
