Fabtration looks to expand in Southern Indiana

GEORGETOWN, IND. (July 14, 2015) — Fabtration, owner Rick Keenan appeared Tuesday night before the Floyd County Council in Southern Indiana and outlined his proposed plan for a building expansion and investment in new manufacturing equipment. The company requested and was granted a 10-year personal property tax abatement, allowing it to phase-in personal property taxes on its equipment investment of $813,000.

fabFabtration, makers of filtration systems and electrical and thermal energy units, was founded in 2011 in Georgetown, Ind. The company currently has 11 employees and has plans to add 16 additional employees by the end of 2019.

The company’s expansion project includes more than $4.1 million in investment, including a 15,000-s.f. expansion of its current facility at 526 Maplewood Blvd. to accommodate manufacturing of larger-scale projects, to improve efficiencies and to fabricate in greater quantities.

In addition, office space will be added to the existing structure to accommodate the administrative growth.
