Louisville to host Street Rod Nationals Plus in August

Expected to generate $12.85 million in economic impact

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 29, 2015) — More than 11,000 vintage vehicles and 30,000 visitors are expected to attend the National Street Rod Association’s 46th Annual Street Rod Nationals Plus from Aug. 6-9 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. The event is expected to generate $12.85 million in economic impact.

autoThe four-day automobile event includes a trade show with more than 375 manufacturers and dealers displaying and selling parts, accessories and supplies. There will also be an arts and crafts fair, a swap meet, seminars, children’s activities and concerts in Freedom Hall.

The Builder’s Showcase will feature cars built by 30 top professional car builders. Renowned car designer, fabricator and painter Chip Foose, one of the most recognized car designers, will be at the US Mags/FOOSE Wheels booth Friday and Saturday.

Entertainment includes country musician John Anderson, Caribou and Sunday Drive Band. Concerts are included with event admission.

Gates are open Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Exhibits open at 9 a.m. every day.
