Transmarine Propulsion Systems receives preliminary $1.8M TIF approval for Calvert City facility

Frankfort, Ky. – Transmarine Propulsion Systems, Inc., a sales, service and manufacturing company of marine and diesel engines, has received preliminary TIF approval from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority. Transmarine is considering a new location in Calvert City to expand into the inland waterway market.

Transmarine Propulsion Systems has facilities in Seattle and Tampa, Fla. A facility in Calvert City would give the operation close access to the Ohio and Mississippi rivers.

The tax incentive would be $1.8 million on a $26 million investment. The company estimates the new facility would create 65 jobs with an average hourly wage of $31.
