LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 17, 2015) — The next 5 Across event is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. on Aug. 26 at Awesome Inc. in Lexington.
5 Across is an informal gathering of entrepreneurs, investors and service providers from Lexington and Ashland. Each 5 Across meeting features presentations from local entrepreneurs who pitch their idea to a panel of local judges.
Five different entrepreneurial teams will have five minutes to pitch their idea, with the winning pitch earning $500.
Awesome Inc and Bluegrass Business Development Partnership joined forces in 2010 to launch 5 Across in an effort to encourage entrepreneurs to share their business ideas and take action. Since 2010, 5 Across has helped more than 120 entrepreneurs gain valuable feedback, connect with key mentors and earn over $37,500 in prize money.
Awesome Inc. is located at 348 East Main St. in Lexington.
