World Trade Center Kentucky offering exploratory mission to Cuba

Lexington, Ky. – In response to restored relations between the U.S. and Cuba, World Trade Center Kentucky (WTC-KY) is organizing an exploratory mission to the Caribbean nation. In July the U.S. Embassy in Cuba officially opened for business, and on Aug. 14, the U.S. flag was back over the embassy.

The World Trade Center Kentucky exploratory mission to Cuba has been set for October 20 – 24, 2015, and will open increased opportunities for Kentucky businesses to establish connections for future endeavors, specifically companies in the automotive, medical, agriculture or education fields.

“The World Trade Center Kentucky’s (WTC-KY) leadership views this historic event as a clear signal to begin laying the groundwork for future trade with Cuba now and in the years ahead,” said Zachary Scott, new board chairman of the WTC-KY. “I’m excited to lead the center’s exploratory mission to Cuba, in partnership with Blue Equity, LLC, in October of this year.

“Kentucky will be one of the top 10 states in the U.S. to get feet on the ground in Cuba and evaluate the potential opportunities,” Scott added.
