Lexington Romany Road location to close Sept. 12
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 28, 2015) — Six Kentucky Kroger grocery stores will add online shopping by the end of the year, joining the Versailles location, which has offered the service since July, reports the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Stores scheduled to add online shopping are two in Lexington and one each in Nicholasville, Richmond, Elizabethtown and Frankfort.
The service allows customers to shop online, then schedule a pick-up time at a drive-thru lane.
The first three orders are free, then there will be a fee of $4.95.
Kroger also announced it will close its Lexington location at Romany Road, the Herald-Leader reports. The store is located between a larger new store on Euclid Ave. and another one on Chinoe Road that recently underwent major renovations.
Kroger officials said all 103 employees will be offered similar employment at other area locations.
