KCTCS employees elect faculty/staff regents

Four employees elected

VERSAILLES, Ky. (Sept. 4, 2015) — Kentucky Community and Technical College (KCTCS) employees have completed elections for faculty and staff representatives to serve three-year terms on the KCTCS Board of Regents.

kctcsElected members will serve three-year terms, which begin Oct. 12 and continue through Oct. 11, 2018.

Faculty members elected are Angela Fultz, Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) and Mark A. Wells, Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC).

Fultz is the division chair of mathematics and natural sciences at MCTC. She earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Berea College and a master’s and Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Kentucky.

Wells is a business administration professor at BSCTC. He received an associate in science degree from Prestonsburg Community College (now known as BSCTC), a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Kentucky University, a master’s degree in education from Eastern Kentucky University and a Rank I certification from Morehead State University.

The staff members elected are Mary B. Kinney, Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) and Tammy C. Thompson, West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC).

McKinney is the OCTC coordinator of academic affairs and retention. She earned an associate of applied science degree in human services from Henderson Community College, a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in adult education for community and technical colleges from Western Kentucky University.

Thompson is the public relations coordinator at WKCTC.  She previously worked as the television producer/director at WKCTC’s public access channel. Thompson received an associate in applied science degree from Paducah Community College (now known as WKCTC) and a bachelor’s degree in radio/television from Murray State University.
