Increased security planned for UK Alumni Charity Game

Sunday’s game features former UK players vs. former UNC players

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 9, 2015) — Fans attending the UK Alumni Charity Game at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at Rupp Arena should expect increased security measures. NBA regulations stipulate that every person entering the facility be scanned by hand-held metal detectors. Doors will open at 4 pm and fans are encouraged to arrive early in order to avoid long lines and delayed entry into the game. All proceeds will be donated to charity.

uk_logo_white_stan_37-300x225Photography is restricted to non-professional point and shoot style cameras from assigned seats. No commercial photography of any kind is permitted. Cameras with detachable lenses, flash photography, video cameras or any other audio/visual equipment, Go Pros, tablets and iPads are prohibited.

The game features current and former pros from Kentucky facing current and former pros from North Carolina. Per NBA rules, UK cannot confirm individual players participating in the exhibition game.

Similar security measures and photo restrictions will be in effect for the New Orleans Pelicans vs. Sacramento Kings NBA Pre-Season Game on Oct. 17.
