Louisville Metro Diverse Business Fair scheduled for Oct. 13

To promote minority and women owned businesses

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 22, 2015) — The Louisville Metro Diverse Business Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 13 at Fourth Street Live.

metroAll minority, female and disadvantaged business entity owners, or their representatives are invited to participate in the business fair. To gain admission, the business entity must either be certified with the Louisville Metro Human Rights Commission or in the process of completing such certification. For those businesses that have not currently certified or in the process of being certified as an MBE, WBE or DBE they can start the process and attend the business fair on site.

“The goal of this fair is simple: give minority and women owned business owners a place to meet with our large local corporations and other entities to see if relationships can be built which could lead to business deals that allow for these small businesses to grow and create well-paying jobs,” said David Tandy, president of the Louisville Metro Council. “Any time we can encourage local companies to use the talented resources of small businesses right here in Louisville it is a great win for everyone. But in some cases, there has to be a starting place to know what one business needs and what the other business offers.”

For more information about the business fair, contact Tandy’s office at 574-1104 or by email at [email protected].
