Louisville, Ky. – Ford Motor Company plans to expand its Kentucky Truck Plant, according to plans filed Monday with Louisville Metro Planning and Design.
The 288,715-s.f. expansion would be modest compared to the nearly 6 million-s.f. foot print the facility currently maintains. Luckett & Farley Architects, Engineers and Construction Managers Inc. drew up the plans.
The plant is located in eastern Jefferson County. A Ford representative declined to comment on the application filed with the city.
Ford makes the Expedition, Lincoln Navigator and Super Duty pickup trucks at the plant.
