The campaign was handled through the Community Foundation of Louisville. Last year Give Local Louisville raised $1.89 million on behalf of 166 nonprofits.

For “Give Day,” every dollar that was given to local nonprofits was augmented through proportionate match and prize dollars contributed by the Community Foundation of Louisville, its supporting partners LG&E and KU Energy, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kentucky, Delta Dental of Kentucky, Sam Swope Auto Group, the Martin F. Schmidt and Kate Schmidt Moninger Fund, William O. Alden, Jr., and other anonymous donors.

Give Local Louisville was moved from its regular time in spring to the fall this year so as to not compete with Kentucky Derby festivities and other seasonal events.
