Scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 6, 2015) — The University of Louisville will host a conference Monday and Tuesday that will look at how universities can become successful at launching start-up companies.
The 12th annual OVALS (Ohio Valley Affiliates for Life Sciences) conference is made up of 10 research universities in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. The conference will be held at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel.
As universities become hubs for translating research into viable companies, competition for investor funding and partnerships with industry has increased. The conference is a way for faculty researchers and entrepreneurs from institutions in the Ohio Valley region to share their success stories and strategies.
