Free business course offered to Eastern Kentucky artists, small business owners, entrepreneurs

First session is Jan. 12, 2016

MOREHEAD, Ky. (Dec. 10, 2015) — Eastern Kentucky artists, small business owners and potential entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to learn more about the basics of business planning, marketing, record keeping and business lending through a free course from Morehead State University’s East Kentucky Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Pikeville and the Pike County Extension Office.

SBDC-logo-web-3-15The four course series will include start-up considerations, self-evaluations, business structures, choosing the correct marketing strategy, defining key business financial documents and what they say about your business, business lending, business credit and much more.

Workshops will be presented by Mike Morley and Michelle Spriggs of the Pikeville and Paintsville Small Business Development Centers.

The four-session course will be offered on Jan. 12, Jan. 19, Jan. 26 and Feb. 9, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Pike County Extension Office, 148 Trivette Drive, Pikeville.
