Louisville-based AES makes Lexington expansion

Louisville, Ky. – AES Advanced Electrical Systems, Inc. one of the largest electrical contractors in the region, headquartered in Louisville, Ky., is expanding operations with opening a new 6,000-s.f. facility in Lexington, Ky., for its full service electrical contracting office.

AES has been in business over 22 years and is a family‐owned business with second generation leadership provided by sons, James and Josh Strange.

AES has worked on some of the regions highest profile, high tech and fast‐paced projects including : UPS World port and UPS Freight facility, KFC YUM! Center, Ford KTP Stamping expansion, U of L Cardinal Park, U of L Predictive Medicine, Toyota Lexus line expansion, UK Academic Science center, UK Track and Field, LT Smith Stadium WKU expansion, Kosair Children’s hospital expansion, and Richardsville Elementary in Barren County.

“Lexington has been on our radar for quite some time with the terrific economic development opportunities we’ve seen evolve over recent time, which blend well with our other projects in nearby Georgetown,” said AES president Evelyn Strange.

Currently AES have over 130 employees working in the Lexington area, with planned additional hires over the next months.

The new AES Lexington office is located at 2380 Fortune Dr., Suite 110.
