NKU names new development directors for colleges of business and health professions

Highland Heights, Ky. – Two experienced development officers have joined the College of Business and College of Health Professions at NKU.

Tara Widener

Tara Widener joined NKU has the director of development for the College of Health Professions on Jan. 4. In her role she will help guide and implement the college’s strategic vision during a period of tremendous growth and change for the college, including the development of a new Health Innovation Center set to open in 2018.

Widener previously worked as development director for the Children’s Miracle Network. She has also worked for the Bethesda Foundation and Hospice of Cincinnati. She received a B.A. in Elementary Education from NKU in 1993.

Jerome ‘Jey’ Marks joined NKU on Jan. 19 as director of development for the Haile/US Bank College of Business, where he will help guide and implement the college’s strategic vision as it works to strengthen its ties to the community and grow its international offerings.

He was previously senior director of regional advancement and interim director of alumni relations at Marymount University in Arlington, Va. He also worked at Eastern Kentucky University, where he received a B.B.A. in Business Administration in 2000.
