Kentucky American Water makes promotions

Names director of financial analysis and decision support and manager of operations-production

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 25, 2016) — Kentucky American Water has announced the promotions of two employees based at the company’s Lexington office.

Gina Money has been named director of financial analysis and decision support for American Water’s Central Division, which includes Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Tennessee.

Justin Sensabaugh, who most recently served as operations superintendent for the company’s Northern Division, which includes water and wastewater operations in Gallatin, Grant and Owen counties, has been promoted to manager of operations-production, overseeing the company’s treatment plants and water quality efforts.

Money will strategically manage finances for Kentucky American Water and Tennessee American Water as well as serve as the finance lead for the rest of the Central Division. She will report to Ed Vallejo, American Water’s vice president of financial strategy, planning and decision support, as well as to Nick Rowe, senior vice president of the Central Division and president of Kentucky American Water.

A native of Mount Sterling, Money served in various finance and human resources roles with Lexmark International for 16 years before joining Kentucky American Water in 2009 as finance manager. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance.

Sensabaugh a native of London, started his career with the Laurel County Water District before joining Kentucky American Water as a utility operator in 2008, and subsequently advanced into various roles with increasing responsibilities. He holds industry certifications in water treatment and distribution (class IV), wastewater and collections (class I), and is licensed in backflow prevention. He earned an associate’s degree from Somerset Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Midway College.
