Groundbreaking Friday in Louisville for Omni hotel

omniWill have 612 hotel rooms, 225 luxury apartments

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 27, 2016) — Local leaders will break ground Friday on the 30-story, 612-hotel room Omni Louisville Hotel. The building, which will be the tallest in the city, will have 225 luxury apartments when it opens in spring 2018.

The groundbreaking will begin at 10 a.m. at 400 S. 2nd St. on the corner of 2nd Street and Liberty. Expected to be on hand for the groundbreaking are Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, Metro Councilman David Tandy, Bob Rowling, the owner and chairman of TRT Holdings and Omni Hotels & Resorts and other business and community leaders and Omni executives.
