LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 8, 2016) — The Eastern Kentucky University College of Business and Technology was ranked the second best school for military veterans in the 2016 “Best for Vets: Business Schools” by Military Times EDGE magazine. EKU, which was ranked seventh last year, has more than 1,500 military-affiliated students and their dependents enrolled in courses, the fourth highest total in the nation, according to Military Times.
Northern Kentucky University Hale/US Bank College of Business was ranked 31st and the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics was ranked 61st.
“To create the rankings, we scored schools’ survey responses to both the Business Schools survey and parts of the Colleges survey, based on what veterans have told us is important to them as well as on our own editorial judgment,” states Military Times. “We also factored in data from the Veterans Affairs and Defense departments, as well as three Education Department sources: the IPEDS Data Center, College Scorecard data and the Cohort Default Rate Database.”
“More than 180 universities responded esponded to Military Times’ fourth annual survey of graduate business schools,” states Military Times. “Only institutions that said they offer graduate business degrees, and that participated in our rigorous Best for Vets: Colleges survey, the results of which were published in November 2015, were considered.” The University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Business Administration was ranked No. 1.
