Gov. Bevin makes appointments to boards and commissions

Frankfort, Ky. – Governor Matt Bevin has appointed Peter Hays, of Louisville, to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 30th Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky. Hays replaces Margaret L. Harris, of Louisville, whose term has expired. Hays will serve a term expiring January 1, 2020.

Gov. Bevin has also reappointed Tierra Turner, of Louisville, to a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020.

Additionally, Gov. Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Todd M. Schneider has been appointed as a member of the Kenton Co. Airport Board.

  • Todd M. Schneider, of Fort Thomas, replaces Nathan G. Smith, who resigned.  Schneider shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending July 1, 2016.

Sara Beth Mitchum-Roten has been reappointed as a member of the Kentucky Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists.

  • Sara Beth Mitchum-Roten, of Frankfort, represents salon owners, for a term expiring on February 1, 2018.

Melissa Renee Combs has been reappointed as a member of the Kentucky Board of Barbering.

  • Melissa Renee Combs, of Pikeville, represents non-union barbers, for a term expiring February 1, 2019.
